Late Afternoon Wedding Planning

Though there doesn’t seem like there is ever any free time on the weekend, we found ourselves with some today.  At least we thought that we did until my daughter asked if we could help her pick a wedding location for her and her boyfriend, Michael.

We agreed to help, though they have been talking about getting married for a couple of years now, and honestly, I really don’t know when that will actually happen, if it ever does.  But, since she is our child and we want to help her whenever we can, we sat down with her to figure things out.

She had mentioned that she wanted to look into how to go about having one of those garden weddings like you see on the movies, so we started there.

We were able to find some great wedding locations in QLD, Mackay and we did a search for wedding celebrants Queensland” to create a short list of experts that we could talk to about the next steps we need to take to get this wedding planned.

I just hope that they are serious about it this time…

Buying New Bedding

It seems that no matter what we try, our bedding wears out in about a year.  Whether we buy expensive bedding or cheap bedding, it doesn’t really matter – it never really lasts.

I guess that part of the problem could be that we have kids and our blankets are used for everything from dragging the kids around the house, to making forts – so we get our moneys worth out of them.

Lately, we have been looking at clearance bed in a bag sets as an alternative to the more expensive ones in the stores.  So far it looks like we can save quite a bit of money without having to sacrifice quality – I’ll update you in a year as to how it went.
