Working on a Healthier Lifestyle

One of the things that I have been trying to do as I get older is to make healthier choices.  I admit that this isn’t easy, but it is something that needs to be done if I expect to live a long and healthy life.

So with that goal in mind, I have been trying out many different health foods to ensure that I stay at the best condition possible.  Lately, I have decided to try out spirulina and chlorella to help insure a health gastrointestinal tract and get rid of the toxins from my body.

I have also just switched from wheatgrass to barley grass and I have found that it is easier for me to digest.  I am taking it mainly for the plethora of vitamins in it as well as its ability to slow down the aging process.

Just because I am working on a healthier lifestyle doesn’t mean I don’t cheat once in awhile.  But, for the most part, I am making the right choices on a daily basis to ensure that I will live a long, healthy life.

Taking Care of the Yard

One of the things that I learned growing up was an appreciation for landscaping designs.  You see, my father was a perfectionist when it came to our yard, and he even went as far as entering competitions to see if he was indeed the best.

His biggest challenge was learning the art of lantana care as no matter what he tried, the lantanas rarely survived.  But, through perseverance and trial and error, he was finally able to get it.

I thought that I would not have the same passion as he did when it came to innovative landscaping design ideas, but I was mistaken.  In fact, it was his passion that ignited my interest in landscaping.

Though I may not be as dedicated when it comes to landscaping, I am at my best when I am taking care of the yard – there is just something truly peaceful about working with plants.

Using What I Had Learned

For many years, I was involved in selling cheap auto insurance. It is a job that I certainly do not miss, but it is one in which I learned valuable information that I still use to this day.

When my dad was looking for classic car insurance, I knew what some of the realistic quotes should be, as at one point, it had been my job to know. There were a few quotes that he had been given that were completely out to lunch and I told him so.

I decided that I would do the talking for him and when I called to get a cheap auto insurance rate, I told them who I was and that I knew for a fact that they were trying to rip off an old man. That sure changed the rate that he was quoted and he ended up getting a better deal than I even thought he would.
