Updating Our Home

We have lived in our home for many years now, and it is starting to look dated.  It could be the yellow color of the appliances, or it could just be the fact that my home just reminds me of the 1980s.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the money to change everything at once.  So we have decided to take it room by room and do a little at a time.  Hopefully, we can have the whole house done over the next couple years.

This month, we have decided to go look at showers.  We currently just have a tub with a shower, and it would be nicer to just have one of those shower cubicles instead.

I think that we will also look into electric showers since our water heater isn’t working very well lately.  They would be much cheaper than replacing the water heater at the moment.

Well, I should get going to the store - I would like to get started on the bathroom today.

New Car Means Looking for New Car Insurance

I have had a busy week and I am so thankful that it is Friday.  You see, just one week ago today, my car broke down and it just wasn’t going to be worth it to have it fixed.  So, I have been madly scrambling to find a replacement vehicle - new or used - and thankfully, I was able to find a perfect car at a price that I could afford.

But the one thing that I had almost forgot was the fact that I would have to get some new auto insurance.  It has been about ten years now that I have been with the same car insurance company, but with all the hype on the television about getting better rates made me think that maybe I should take a look to see if I am getting the best rate or not.

So, I collected a list of companies that came up when I searched for "auto insurance Toronto" online.  After gathering quotes from all of them, I realized that there was another company that gave me the same amount of coverage, for less money.

Needless to say that I have gone with them now, and though they are unproven as of yet, I don’t mind that I get to keep more money in my pocket.

Planning Lunch

I am feeling particularly lazy today, but I need to eat.  Ordinarily, I would just go out for lunch, but I have to wait until payday on Friday as my bank account is empty.  So, I have only one option - make something at home.

Though there are many things in my pantry, there is just not much that gets me excited.  I don’t feel like soup, or spaghetti, though the mac and cheese looks promising.

So, I guess I should go put some water on - I can hear my stomach growling.

Getting Rid of Bad Breath

I woke up this morning with particularly nasty breath.  Now, thank goodness that you can’t smell it online, because it is pretty nasty.

You see, before bed last night, I decided that I wanted to have some garlic toast.  Well, one piece turned into about half a loaf.

Also, I was lazy and didn’t brush my teeth.

Needless to say, after learning about bad breath causes, I realized that I made a big mistake.  Now, I have brushed my teeth, and I am chewing gum - hopefully it will go away before my big presentation in an hour, or I might just be screwed.
