I am in my third year of college and I realize that I have at least another year left before I have to start working on my dissertation, but I have been thinking a lot about it already as I don’t think that one can never be too prepared when the time comes.

In fact, every time I write an essay I wonder how I can utilize this information in later years and I think it will help prepare me for my postgraduate studies.  I have always been the type of person that stays one step ahead of the rest, as I don’t know how I could function otherwise.

I already know exactly what I’m going to write a thesis about and I have already started gathering information on the topic.  I actually enjoy doing the research already and I don’t think it is really going to be all that tough when the time comes.

The past term in school has been a little bit of a change for me.  You see, I’ve been working on my graduate studies and instead of writing many dissertations, I’ve only been writing one paper the whole last term.

It has been quite a change for me that started with me creating a research proposal and has resulted in page after page of writing as I work to complete my thesis.  Sure, I do have two years to get it done, but I would rather get it done early than working on it with no pay when it is late.

After finally getting consistent results from the trials that I was doing for the experiments, writing a paper was time-consuming, but not hard.  It was nice to have some good discussions with my supervisor as I tried to interpret the results of my studies.

I think that I will be done writing earlier than my due date which will give me extra time to revise the paper before submitting it.  This way, I should be able to get an excellent mark.

I went to an auction sale today for miscellaneous items.  You see, they were auctioning off items that were on trailers of trucks that were in accidents.

For some of those items, the damage was minimal.  A scuff on a couch, a dent on the side of the fridge and other minor damage.  Typically, these items went for close to their selling price, but there were still bargains to be found.

There was one lot that really caught my eye.  You see, they had a lot of Rubber tracks for Bobcat mini excavators that we could use at our business.  The opening bid was really low compared to the retail (and even wholesale) price, so I decided to bid.

There was a short bidding war between me and another gentleman, but in the end, I won.  The price that I paid was well below the price on the market, so it made my day.

My wife is an avid quilter and she has wanted to sell her quilts online for a long time.  She is tried selling them on auction sites with little success and figures that she would do better if she had a storefront of her own.

So we have been looking to find a company that offers a shopping cart system and integrated Internet merchant accounts so that we don’t have to deal with too many companies.

We’ve had some difficulty finding a company that offers a one-stop solution at a reasonable rate.  Thankfully, the Internet allows us to shop around (even if it takes time) and find what we are looking for.

We have found one merchant account provider that we are going to contact to confirm that they can supply us with the services we need to get her business off the ground.  It will be nice for her to make some money off her hobby instead of just having piles of quilts laying around our house.

I recently was offered a coupon from a website where you could buy essays and I had to decline.  You see, a good friend of mine had bought essays last term and she found herself expelled just a few days after buying those essays.  I just didn’t want to end up like that, as both my parents and myself are counting on me doing well in college.

I have been looking for some reliable ecommerce shopping cart software for the website that I will be setting up to sell the sweaters that my wife makes.  We have been selling them at flea markets in town, but I figured that it would do much better if we had a bigger audience like a website provides.

It was going to be the first online store software that I would ever use, so I wanted to find a package that would be easy to install and customize to our needs.  I was going to make a custom template for the site so that our site would stand out.

Throughout our lives, many of us, come up with potentially great ideas for products or processes that have never been thought of before.  Even though most of these ideas could have potential, most people will not act on them as they don’t see the value of the final product.

But for the select few that do see the potential for profit, there are some challenges that they will face before they can turn their dream into a reality.  Perhaps the biggest one is presenting a product in an attempt to get funding to put it into production.

Perhaps one of the easiest ways to present the concept of the invention to a group of investors would be to hire an industrial design company to both design a prototype as well as detail the development cycle of the final product.  They will be able to lay out a roadmap of the product development as well as be able to come up with production costs.

With that information in hand, the inventor should have an easier time to present their product to potential investors and get it into production.

A couple of years back, while attending college, I can remember one interesting class.  You see, it was an English class where the first thing the professor said in front of the class was this:

"I am sad to report that all of your research papers have been stolen."

What?

We’ll as it turns out, someone broke into the professor’s office, took the term papers and ran off into the night.

So the professor told us we had to resubmit a termpaper by the following week.  Unfortunately for me, I deleted it off my computer, so I had to rewrite the essay from scratch.

I learned a valuable lesson that day: keep copies of all your papers until the term is over just in case something like this happen.  Strangely enough, a similar thing would happen two years later - at least I was prepared that time.

I think that I would make a good student for life.  I have always enjoyed school since the day I started preschool, and that certainly didn’t change when I entered university.  There is nothing I love more than dissertation writing and studying for exams.  It might be, because I have never found any of these very challenging and it all seems to come very easy to me.

In one of my psychology classes we are discussing the ethics of going out to buy research papers.  Of course the professor did not agree that this was ethical, but it got me to thinking about the pros and cons of doing something like this.

I would never do this because I do not have to.  I have never struggled in school but there are many students really get a lot further ahead if custom research papers were made available to them.  I don’t really think it is unethical to do whatever you have to in order to get a good education.

With finals coming up, I didn’t have enough time to write the last two essays for my history and law class.  They had assigned essays one week before the last week of class which is usually the time when I start studying for finals.  I needed a solution that would be quick, painless and that wouldn’t take away any time that I needed to study for my final exams.
