Safe Online Experience

I have watched a number of television programs over the past few months that have discussed the need for Internet Privacy Software on every computer in the nation.  The reasoning behind this is that there is so much private information transmitted over the Internet, that we are all at risk of identity theft – but we do have the power to protect ourselves.

You see, the programs that I watched suggested that we use Anonymizer software to hide our computer from the prying eyes of cyber criminals by masking our IP address from them.  This way, they would not be able to find our computer (or our information).

One of the programs also suggested that we should be using Privacy Controls software to erase the tracks of what sites we visited, and what passwords that we used.  A good example for this need would be parents that have the babysitter over to watch their children – your personal information could be accessible to your sitter, which I would guess that you wouldn’t want to have happen.

So be aware that there are steps that you could take to protect your computer and your data – and save yourself a potentially big headache.

Looking for Liquid Vitamins

While I was doing a search on the Internet for liquid vitamins, I was surprised at how many results that came up. I was astonished and did not know exactly where to begin. I know that a friend had suggested that I take liquid vitamins, as she has cancer and they have helped her out immensely.

One particular liquid vitamin that kept coming up was GBG. I decided that, if there were so many results for this, it must be a good one, and therefore I decided that I would do a bit more research on this particular vitamin. After all, thousands of people could not be wrong, could they?

I started checking out some of the websites and it did not take me long to figure out that it was part of an MLM program. I am not totally against multi level marketing, but it was not something I wanted to get into, that is for sure. At that point, I gave up my computer search for the perfect liquid vitamin and just went to buy some at Costco.

Reading Yesterday’s Paper

I woke up this morning kind of late as I must have slept in.  That usually doesn’t happen to me, but obviously, I needed the sleep.  So, I had a chance when I got up today to read yesterday’s paper while eating breakfast.

Even though we subscribe to the paper, I usually don’t bother reading it – it is kind of boring.  But, I thought that I would give it a chance and see what I could find in its’ pages.

I was just about through the paper in just five minutes, when I came across registry cleaner reviews.  Now, this was something that I would be interested in.

You see, my computer has been acting up lately, and honestly I am too busy (and too cheap) to have someone over to fix the computer.

I read through the Regcure review and the Registry Mechanic review, and I think I will try the latter.  Now, they were both rated well, but the screen shot from Registry Mechanic just looked more appealing to me.

I am sure happy I read the paper today – I managed to learn something.

Getting to My Hotel

I don’t travel a whole lot, but one of my biggest fears about traveling is getting stuck at the airport.  This happened to me once before, when I went to the Winter Olympics in Calgary in 1988.

You see, I got off of my flight there in Calgary, and was hoping to catch a cab to my hotel.  Needless to say, I never made it to my hotel the next day as I was stuck at the airport because the cabs in the city were too busy.

So, when I learned that I was going to Newark, I had to call ahead to ensure that I had Newark airport transportation to my hotel in place even before I left on the trip.  I made the point to call three weeks in advance to book a ride just to be on the safe side.

I just called to confirm the booking today, a mere seven days before I go.  I just do not want to be stuck at an airport overnight again – that experience traumatized me.

Looking for Investment Properties

It seems that the appointments I had for today were done quicker than I thought.  Usually, things don’t go as smoothly as they did today, so I thought that I would make the most out of my free time and look for some investment properties.

As some of you know, I do have a couple of income properties, but I am always in the market for some more. There are a couple of websites that I look for property for sale online, as they are great resources for properties that fit my investment style.

After sitting at the computer for about half an hour, I found a couple of properties worth looking at.  I am just going to crunch some numbers before I give the realtor a call.  If the properties meet my conditions, and I can get the price I want for them, I might just be adding some properties to my real estate investment portfolio.

The Mistake that Almost Cost My Marriage

If you have not met my wife, you should.  She is one of the most creative and generous people that I have met.  But, there is one thing I don’t really like about her – she is a perfectionist.

With her perfectionism comes a price – if I mess up, there is a price to pay.  There is nothing more evident to this than our wedding day.

You see, she had a big list of everything that we needed for our wedding all drawn up when we sat down to discuss it.  She had split the list into tasks for both of us, and she told me to make sure that I did everything on the list.

Well, I thought I had done everything when I realized that I forgot to buy the wedding favors the day of the wedding.  I figured that missing something as simple as that would be okay, and that we could go on with the festivities.

Boy was I wrong!

My wife just about went to get the marriage annulled because of my little mistake.  So, husbands out there, make sure you do everything on your list for your wedding – or you might just find yourself with a lot of bills, and no wife.

Easy Website Marketing

Like many other webmasters, I find myself with just not enough time in the day.  Maybe if I didn’t have to sleep, I would be able to get everything done, but sadly, that is not really possible.  In an effort to get more work done by using less of my time, I have been looking for places to outsource some of my work to.

I figured that I could start with my search engine advertising.  I spend so much time trying to get better search engine rankings and traffic to my sites that by just outsourcing this one task, it should free up at least four hours of my time per day.

I have found an advertising company that will take care of my website marketing for me so that I can focus on the business.  Though it is too early to tell how effective this is going to be, I can already feel the stress going away.  And that alone is worth the money.

A Vinyl Paint Job

I was looking at putting some decals or something on my car, just to jazz it up a little bit. I could not afford to have it painted, but I thought I could find something to make it look better. That is when I found the vinyl racing stripes. I knew these would be perfect and would make my car look a lot newer and trendier than it really was.

I also ordered some custom vinyl banners that I could put on the car myself and spruce it up. There were many to choose from and they were fairly reasonably priced, so I decided to buy two. I am only putting one on my car, but I couldn’t decide between the two of them and I did not know when I would make it to the city again.

I bought the custom vinyl lettering to go along with the banners and now I am stuck deciding what to do with them. I know it is going to look amazing when I am done and I know my car will go from dull to wow, so it is a major choice that I have to make.
