While looking at the new listings on the local real estate for sale website, I found that they had added a new feature to their service.  A few weeks ago, they had a survey on their website to see what features that their buyers would find useful while looking for a new house.

Some of the suggestions included the average cost of utility bills for a month, a rating system for the busyness of the street that the house was located on, and the garden features that are present on the property.  By listing the type and size garden I would make it very easy for shoppers in our garden focused community to make more educated choices when it comes to the house they want to buy.

Sadly, this new feature will only apply to new real estate listings and not to the existing ones.  We’ll just have to wait and see if they implement some sort of search feature as there are more and more sellers that list the types of gardens that they have.  I’m very impressed with the fact they listened to the suggestions of their customers, a great idea is not practiced by many businesses.
