It is often said that content is king.  My tests have shown this is B.S.

This article is contrary to popular advice, but it is also correct.  Because they aren’t my sites, I won’t give their names.  However, I will reveal to you some things that I have discovered and why content is NOT King but ONE WAY LINKS ARE KING!

I have taken it up. A new challenge. My client’s pages could not go to the first page of Google. I went to work to get it done.

I looked at the pages they already had on the first page and found myself wondering how the heck they were even on the first page.  The quality of the writing on every single page was horrible, and seemed to be written by someone whose English skills where questionable at best.  There were even hints and some evidence pointing to some of the content being created by a cheap and crappy version of an article spinner and maybe even a free spinner.

To highlight just how bad the previous SEO guy had done, he put these crappy pages up in some very competitive keyword markets somehow expecting them to rank highly.  It was clear to me with only a moments glance there was no hope of that ever happening.

A 5 year old could do this good even with only a free article spinner he got in 2 minutes off of download com.

This site was such a mess, with problems ranging from the absence of a site map to faulty internal links, that I don’t even know where to begin.

So here’s what’s immediately clear from this result, if content was King there is no way in heck that those pages belonged on the first page of any search engine, not to mention Google!  After doing my research, what were the results?

No matter whether they are from low quality websites, all had links to their domain.  Next I took a look at their poorly ranking pages to see if there were problems immediately apparent and sure enough there were because these pages had no or very few incoming links.

In a fortnight I became a hero.You know How? I copied the links from other pages. Now my client is able to be on the first page of Google for the  sites he hired me for.

I wanted to get fast results so I could prove to them I could handle getting quality links of power so that their sites would remain showing up with first page rankings.
