The L Series lenses feature Aspherical optics and fluorite elements. There are select lenses that feature Canon’s Image Stabilizer technology to minimize the effect of camera shake.

The E-TTL II flash metering system, which provides reliable flash output through several exposures, is also featured in the camera.
