Ever since I was eight years old, I have had to wear glasses.  I suppose I was doomed from the start since both my parents wear them, but I had always hoped that I would never need them.

Needless to say, twenty years later, I still hate them.  I feel that they not only impact the way others see me, but has impacted my ability to advance in the workplace.

So, I have been seriously considering LASIK eye surgery for some time now, but it hasn’t been until the last couple of months that I actually have had enough money to do it.  So, I decided that the cost of LASIK was no longer an issue – but I wasn’t sure that I was okay with the risks.

Instead of being worried about it, I decided to make a LASIK Pros and Cons list so that I would be able to visualize my choices.  After putting it together, I realized that it made more sense to do it than not go through with the procedure.

I will finally be able to get rid of my glasses once and for all.
